Qualification of contracting authorities is not necessary. Valditara: “Very important result for the organization of educational trips”

At the instigation of Minister Giuseppe Valditara, the Ministry of Education and Merit has started a loyal and constructive discussion with the National Anti-Corruption Authority, which yesterday gave its favorable opinion on the possibility for schools to continue autonomously with the purchasing procedures for the organization of educational trips, linguistic internships and cultural exchanges and for vending machines, without the need for them to be qualified contracting authorities.

“This is”, declared Minister Valditara, “a very important result, as the difficulties encountered by educational institutions in obtaining this qualification risked compromising above all the organization of educational trips, which represent a significant moment in the process training and education of students".

The Authority has therefore recognized that schools, from 8 March to 30 September, regardless of the value of the assignments, will be able to continue to operate autonomously to guarantee the continuity of the related services, provided by the school system in support of the right to study.

Furthermore, ANAC has made itself available to support schools with preventive observations on the outlines of the tender documents.

The opinion was distributed to all offices today with a ministerial circular.
