State Police and Alitalia sign the agreement on the prevention and fight against cybercrime

The agreement between the State Police and Alitalia for the prevention and control of cyber crimes concerning the information systems and services of particular importance for the country was signed today in Rome.

The agreement, signed by the Chief of Police-General Manager of Public Security, Franco Gabrielli, and by Alitalia Extraordinary Commissioners Daniele Discepolo, Enrico Laghi and Stefano Paleari falls within the scope of the directives given by the Minister of the Interior for the enhancement of the activity prevention of cybercrime through the stipulation of agreements with operators that provide essential services.

The Postal and Communications Police is in fact daily committed to ensuring the integrity and functionality of the IT network of the strategic level structures for the country through the National Anti-Crime Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (CNAIPIC).

Alitalia is the main Italian airline, in terms of fleet, domestic and international flights, destinations and passengers transported and carries out activities considered vital for the mobility of the country.

This is made possible thanks also to the structure of IT systems, technology and telematic networks that support all the flight operations of Alitalia and, therefore, their safety requires an intensive prevention activity or a timely and effective response to any malware and cybernetic.

CNAIPIC, which for years has been involved in the protection of IT networks, both public and private, of national importance and of strategic importance for the country, is therefore a necessary tool for collaboration and information sharing throughout the national territory .

At the signing of the agreement were present for the Department of Public Security, the Central Director for the Traffic, Railway, Communications Police and for the Special Departments of the State Police, Roberto Sgalla and the Director of the Postal and Communications Police Service, Nunzia Ciardi . While for ALITALIA, the Extraordinary Commissioners Enrico Laghi and Stefano Paleari, Filippo Dispenza - Security Manager, Massimo Iraci - Operations Manager, Costanza Esclapon de Villeneuve - Corporate Communications Manager, Federico Garimberti - Communication Manager and Danilo De Angelis - IT Security Manager, Roberto Tundo Information technology manager.
