State Police. Operation “Good Guys”

Since the early hours of dawn, a State Police operation has been underway against twenty-four suspects for apologia of fascism, propaganda and incitement of racial hatred, threats and contempt of the Armed Forces.

The policemen of the Digos of Ferrara, Bologna, Ravenna and of the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police carried out twenty-four house searches, delegated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ferrara, against as many young people from Ferrara.

The investigation arises from a serious episode which occurred during the Christmas period in a place in the Jewish quarter of the Estense capital: the suspects, who showed up on site in orange uniforms, after distributing a series of leaflets praising the Duce and the Fuhrer, allegedly threatened to death of some customers who were trying to interrupt the repeated racist, pro-Nazi and applause chants for the death of members of the police force.

Despite the intervention of the Ferrara Police Headquarters, the suspects, all Italian, aged between twenty and thirty, continued to chant racist chants without worrying about the consequences of their conduct.

The agents of the Digos of Ferrara and of the Central Directorate of the Prevention Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Emilian capital, developed the profiles of the young people by organizing the blitz which took place at dawn. Specialized operators from the Postal Police are present on site in order to proceed with the preventive analysis of the IT devices aimed at finding useful information for the investigation. The Emilia Romagna Crime Prevention Department also participated in the search operations.

The searches allowed the seizure of the uniforms used, bladed weapons and leaflets. and fascist propaganda material. In-depth analyzes of the seized electrical devices will follow.
