Memorandum of understanding between the Army and INPS

A synergistic collaboration between the INPS and the National Army Administrative Center as the only interlocutor in matters of salary treatment

The President of INPS, prof. Pasquale Tridico, and the Army Corps General Salvatore Farina, Chief of Staff of the Army, today signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at regulating and coordinating the collaboration activity in the consolidation of the database of insurance positions of the military and civil personnel of the Italian Army and of the related disbursement pension and social security benefits.

According to this protocol, therefore, from the November 1, the "National Army Pole" will be established at the Provincial Inps Directorate of Chieti, which will centralize all INPS services in favor of Army personnel, currently in charge of the individual provincial directorates of the Institute.

The Polo takes over the management of policyholders belonging to the Italian Army who, at the date of the 1 November, will not have presented an INPS application for retirement benefits.

The task of the Pole, therefore, will be to manage the insurance positions and the settlement of pensions and severance pay (TFS), the redemption and reconnection procedures of the service periods, as well as those relating to the granting of loans, thus optimizing communications between the two institutions and standardizing performance management, also in terms of timing and management cost savings.

The signing of the protocol represents another small but significant step taken by the Army to improve the conditions and the attention paid to its men and women; a direct channel aimed at optimizing the offer and the quality of the services performed in favor of the military and civilian personnel of the Armed Forces, as well as favoring savings in the management costs of the Administrations involved.
