music festival”Road to Yalta", One event musical with patrotic tones that every year since 2019 in the month of May celebrates the day of the Russian victory over the Nazi-fascists which falls on 9 May. This year the festival takes on a different character because it takes place with a war in progress, with a war resulting from an invasion against a free, independent and sovereign nation, trampling on international law as if it were scrap paper. The news that left many Italians dismayed was the participation as guest of honor of the Italian singer Pupo who was supposed to perform, together with other artists, singing the cover of Bella Ciao, which has become an international melody over time.
To criticize Pupo directly another artist well known in Russia, Al bano carrisi"Pupo is free to do what he wants, undoubtedly. But we really have to ask ourselves whether it is appropriate, at this moment, to go and be a star in Russia".
Yesterday Pupo sent a vowel to Dagospia: "The unforeseeable, the impossible happened around my eventual participation in the Road to Yalta festival. By virtue of reflections and absorbed in my thoughts on the journey I am making from Lugano to the city of Spa, in Belgium, where I will stop for a few days to remarry and reflect again, I have decided not to leave for Moscow. Certainly it does not depend on the controversies and on everything that has happened in recent days but it does depend on a fact that I will explain to you later, because my habit is always to be very clear and honest with everyone, regardless of who the interlocutors are".
