Putin as Stalin: president for the fourth time

Vladimir Putin won with a plebiscite, the exit-polls give him in fact well over 70% of the preferences, for the Fom demoscopic center would be even 77%, while all the other contenders plow in the dust, with percentages to a figure. Only the Communist 'with the Rolex' Pavel Grudinin is saved, the only one able to overcome the 10% threshold. A result that, although carefully sought after by the Kremlin specialists, has certainly also been influenced by the clash with London on the case of former Moscow intelligence agent Serghei Skripal. The spokesman for Putin's election campaign, Andrei Kondrashov, did not take any notice and publicly thanked British Prime Minister Theresa May for pushing the turnout. "It's higher than the 8-10% than expected, we could not even dream of such a thing ... once again Britain did not understand the mentality of Russia: if they accuse us of something in an unfounded way , the Russian people joins the center of force and the center of force today is certainly Putin ". Many speak of re-election developed by the deputy head of the presidential administration, Serghei Kirienko. That is at least the 70% of the preferences with at least the 70% of the turnout. That, however, 'perhaps will not reach' the designated target: according to estimates of the state-owned VTSiom state-center, in fact, it could also stop at 63,7%. But this will only be known tomorrow, when official data will be published. The Skripal effect, in any case, is certainly seen in the vote of Russians living abroad, with very long lines in front of diplomatic missions (including Milan and Rome, where the electoral ballots are finished). In Ukraine, on the other hand, the Russians could not vote because the security forces have mourned consulates and embassies and allowed only the diplomats. The Foreign Ministry called it an "illegal" move and the Central Electoral Commission promised to officially complain to the UN and other international organizations. Kiev is particularly furious with the Kremlin as the elections were organized on the fourth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, which for the first time since the disputed 2014 referendum could vote in the presidential elections. Putin, therefore, turned out to be victorious with North Korean percentages higher than 90%. The question, at this point, arises spontaneously. Everything is OK? The Central Electoral Commission led by Ella Pamfilova obviously claims yes. As well as the independent association Golos, which has been monitoring the elections in Russia for years.

Alexei Navalny, the stone guest of this election, confirmed the genuineness of the data on the turnout at the 17 (about 51%) as it is in line with the verification of its observers located in the four corners of the country. "Soldiers and civil servants have voted in the morning, now the crooks will be busy," he said on Twitter. While on YouTube, Navalny received a surprise visit to Ksenia Sobchak, the Russian 'Paris Hilton' self-appointed opposition candidate, who recently founded a new party with the well-known former independent MP Dmitri Gudkov. "Alexei, he urged him, we cooperate after the elections, let's do it for our voters". He had never done it. Navalny responded angrily. "If you think I can believe your lies about joining the opposition, the answer is no: you are part of the operation that has excluded me from the elections, you are dishonest and hypocritical". The delicious fight went on for half an hour. Meanwhile, Putin was sailing towards the fourth mandate, the undisputed master of Russia: in a tweet Putin: thanks to all, success is our destiny.
