All saved. An international team of rescuers has performed the miracle

All saved the 12 very young players and their coach who had been stuck in the cave of Tham Luang from 17 days.

Narongsak Osatanakorn, in charge of the rescue, had announced that the recovery operations of the four young footballers trapped in the Tham Luang cave together with their coach had resumed this morning. We can finally say that the nightmare for the boys and their coach is over. The coach was also pulled out of the cavity and was back by their side for 17 very long days. The operation to extract the baby footballers of the “Boars” team from the tunnels has finally been successfully completed.

The diving team committed today is the same that Sunday had managed in the recovery of the first four boys. The experience accumulated during the first intervention has made it possible to make recovery operations faster.

The boys were on a narrow, rather steep, strip of land and remained almost dry about three kilometers away and 800 meters deep from the entrance to the cave. For each child there was a team of two experienced divers who followed them throughout the journey: the first led by holding a promptly secured cable and carrying in his arms the oxygen tank to which the child attached to him was connected by a safety rope. The second diver followed and helped the boy to follow the path, to prevent it from banging against the rocks or being panicked in the total darkness in which they were immersed.

Scrupulous the work of rescuers who have calculated every unforeseen possible by equipping the caves with equipment ready to face any emergency. The boys were given anxiolytics during their journey as the Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha revealed. It is unclear whether the prime minister referred to all the boys extracted or only to some, but the use of anxiolytics had already been anticipated by the Thai media citing medical sources.

The conditions of the baby footballers are not yet known. After first aid operations outside the cave, everyone was taken to the hospital on board the ambulances.
