This morning two precautionary orders were carried out by the Salerno State Police and the Judicial Police Section at the Public Prosecutor's Office for Minors, with which the Judge for preliminary investigations, at the request of the Public Prosecutor at the Court for minors of Salerno, it has ordered the coercive measure of "placement in the community" against two adolescents residing in Salerno.
The measures relate to serious episodes of revenge porn and to conduct of detention, dissemination and marketing of child pornography material also concerning young children.
The investigations carried out by the Postal Police and by the PG Section of the CC, allowed, in the first instance, to acquire serious indications of guilt in relation to a first episode in which one of the minors gave to a friend of his, through WhatsApp, sexually explicit videos , portraying his fiancée, with the clear intention of doing her harm.
The investigative development then highlighted that the other minor, the one who had received the video of his friend's ex, as often happens, amplified and multiplied the effects, already serious in themselves, of the offense: it commodified and disseminated in net the pornographic material received, through bartering on group chats held on Telegram and Whatsapp to which hundreds of users adhered with the imaginable consequent “chain effects”.
The forensic analysis carried out by the Postal Police on cell phones seized by the suspects also made it possible to ascertain, at the level of circumstantial gravity, the possession of a large amount of child pornography material, depicting other minors even of very young age, while they posed in intimate attitudes, evidently acquired in the context of this new and alarming phenomenon - widespread also among minors - defined as sexting, i.e. the exchange of explicit contents on the net, obtained, in the case of one of the two suspects, by means of a real and just barter that determined a continuous and substantially unstoppable diffusion on the net of the child pornography contents in question.
Particularly significant, in this regard, the advertisement traced on one of the phones used by one of the arrested: "photo exchange of my ex as a pedo", accompanied by an intimate image of a minor from Salerno.
Today's judicial police operation, therefore, concretely highlights the risks deriving from the practice of sexting, very widespread among the very young. This practice, characterized by the cynicism of those who, in a casual way, almost as if it were a game, put on the net videos or porno images concerning minors (sometimes even of known people), however, and beyond any other consideration, causes devastating damage and permanent to the victims, forever marking their lives.
