Satanism, the different forms

(by Massimo Montinari) Satanism, like any other "coven"That we want to enforce, comes with different types, a range of choices towards which the new adept can approach and make them their own. Clarifier is a study published on HUMAN AND DIABOLIC DECEPTIONS  (Diosalva.net), of which very interesting passages are reported in full.

Satanism occultist (or traditionalist). It represents the mainstream of Satanism which affirms the existence of satan as a personal being (in the form of an individual spirit). He is invoked by his followers, adored, honored as God who, by consecrating himself to him, require power, dominion over others and the fulfillment of every desire. Occult satanism and black magic seem to follow the same steps, both inspired by many Crowley doctrines. Satan is revered as a powerful "entity" capable of providing occult knowledge and earthly powers to "Wizards”More prepared. Ritualism is very complex and takes its cue from various sources, such as Clavicula Salomonisor the Jewish Kabbalah. To the occult satanism most of the most common deviant satanic or masonic orders belong, usually structured in levels, degrees and titles. Occult satanists appreciate the role of the biblical devil, tempter and evil, rather than despising him. These confirm the Christian thesis that "satan is evil"And is worshiped as such. This type of Satanism differs from that "spiritualist"As the latter does not conceive of satan as" evil ". Occult satanists are very attached to form (clothing, objects, symbols, etc.), to rituals (black mass, sabbath, etc.), to certain practices (witchcraft, evil, orgies, etc.) and to sacrifices (animals and sometimes human).

Spiritualist (or theist) Satanism. Similar to "occult satanism"Represents its most modern and" politically correct "form. The lovers of thespiritualist satanism"Consider satan a non-evil entity, the"god of origins"Who chose to give man free will, who wanted to make him understand that the human being is potentially a god. Spiritual Satanists would therefore simply seek complete spiritual elevation to become the "god" of themselves. They would not approve of the violent practices and sacrifices provided for in occult Satanism as part of a past, gross and outdated legacy. They would prefer to move on more subtle, less apparent, noisy and striking spiritual planes. They resort to magical practices, energy therapies, yoga, transcendental meditation, etc. Compared to occultist Satanism, they declare themselves more essential and less anchored to form while admitting that they have many aspects in common.

Rationalist Satanism (or atheist). The "rationalist satanism”Is more recent than the occultist one. Founded by Anton LaVey in 1966, he does not believe in the existence of God or satan as a personal being, but he thinks that there is a hidden force or energy in us and in the cosmos, which can be brought out, developed and put at one's service when perversion is practiced in all forms, associated with certain blasphemous rites. Anton Szandor LaVey (11 April 1930 - 29 October 1997) was an author, musician and American occultist. He was the founder of Church of Satan. Author of the Satan Bible. Satan would therefore be nothing more than a symbol, the idealization of this force or energy which is found repressed in man and which is catalyzed by magic-sexual rituals in order to free and strengthen it. This type of Satanism would be conceived in an extremely materialistic, hedonistic and anti-Christian key: its adherents adopt the name "satan" as a rebel against the Christian God and, therefore, as a figure of rebellion against the whole system of Christian values , who believe obscurantists and fakes. They propose a totally anthropocentric vision of reality. In many cases rationalist Satanism represents the antechamber to occultist Satanism.

Gnostic Satanism. Gnostic (Manichean) Satanism is a current that is often confused with Luciferism: in this area Satan is not seen as an evil entity, nor as that described in the Bible, but as a divinity that gave man the ability to evolve and return to its original divine state. It takes many concepts from the doctrines of Gnosticism, although it denies the Gnostic view of the material world understood as a prison from which to escape. The founder of this current, Dean Joseph Martin, rearranged a whole series of ideas with different points in common, belonging to different philosophical and spiritual schools, such as Pythagoreanism, Gnosticism, Hermeticism and Kabbalah. The distinctive feature of this work of rearranging and merging seemingly dissimilar ideas is also the main key to understanding the Gnostic current: that is, the so-called "divine" or "supernatural" can also be explained with the study and scientific laws, as part of a higher reality, but not for this reason devoid of logic, indeed strictly subject to scientific laws.

Many schools of thought today place scientific laws as indisputable dogmas, such as being able to substitute God in generating life and in deciding death, so much so that some self-styled scientists consider themselves similar to almighty deities and that life is only a purely biological path of cells and DNA. The evolution of man is intended up to the return to a state of divinity, from which he comes, using the tools with which he was endowed, and which satan has contributed to making usable concretely. Ignorance, understood as a lack of knowledge, is seen as a real sin, a condition from which man must redeem himself through study and knowledge in a broad sense, which are obtained with constant reasoning both on philosophical experiences and spiritual, both physical. Life itself is intended as a sort of study room, whose experiences are an invaluable source of knowledge and enlightenment. Life that therefore, according to the “Gnostic satanism”, Must be lived fully, without external influences such as superstitions or social conventions, but with respect for oneself, others and legality. Many principles ofGnostic satanism"Are therefore practically identical to those of the rationalist movement, by LaVey, for which Martin he always admitted to having respect and admiration.

Luciferism. With luciferism we find the figure and the cult of lucifer, considered in the "cathar doctrine”The angel who had been unjustly cast out of heaven and whose return to earth was expected. Lucifer is venerated as the principle of "good" in opposition to the god of evil and creator of the world: the Demiurge. This is because God wanted to deny men the knowledge, which instead offered Lucifer in the form of a snake of Eden. Lucifer is not even identified as satan, but as theAeon of Knowledge, also called Sophia. For Luciferians, who do not even define themselves as Satanists, salvation is achieved through knowledge that is hindered by dogmas and blind faith.

Acid Satanism. Acid Satanism is mainly composed of young people who come together to get and consume drugs, read texts on Satanism, listen to Satanic music and experience the first rudimentary rituals. The phenomena behind the desecrations of churches and cemeteries or the sacrifices of animals that we often hear about in the media are mainly phenomena related to acid satanism.
