A result also highlighted by Mayor Pierluigi Sanna, who met with the Director Lorenzo Metullio at the Safety Meeting with all workers in the plant, pointing out how the industrial excellence of the Colleferro plant is also witnessed by the safety culture that characterizes the plant 'daily commitment of all employees.

A commitment of all Italcementi
"Assemblies of Security" such as Colleferro's have held, in recent days, about 150 plants and offices in Italcementi and Calcestruzzi. This was the occasion to make a one-year annual report on the issue and to raise awareness and assert that Safety is a key objective for the Company and for all cement and concrete contractors and inert companies who, in person, are responsible for their own safety and others.
During the meetings, real incidents were analyzed to extract the most appropriate lessons from every event, to be translated into concrete actions on the job as in everyday life. An example is the seemingly simple choice of car parking mode. Through a video, it has been seen how to park in reverse so that better visibility is restarted, with the possibility of avoiding risks of accidents and dangers to other people.
The meetings were the occasion for a budget of the Company's commitment to security. In the 2017, 9.890 was the hours dedicated to staff training, articulated, for example, in first aid courses, courses for the use of the defibrillator, and definition of early intervention procedures. The actions taken in the field, identified with the name of "Safety Conversation", were about 7.000, also in this case, involving a wide range of events: from inspections, assemblies, small group meetings and discussions on specific topics , up to control and intervention actions in the different departments of all plants. More than twenty were the exercises carried out in collaboration with the Vigli del Fuoco, the Red Cross, Civil Protection and other local emergency intervention personnel at the plant and at the headquarters of Bergamo with the aim of simulating cases emergency response and adopt a shared and shared intervention strategy among all involved parties.
In 2017, training on security has involved, with different levels of commitment, about 1.600 people.
