From the Second World War onwards, Italy as a defeated nation did not enjoy full national sovereignty. America was our tutelary deity, for better or for worse.
Today the US has moved the center of gravity of their foreign policy in Asia, we are therefore alone to face France and Germany on the one hand, the Nordic countries and those of Visegrad on the other, never tender with Italy, often for prejudices never exceeded . On the other hand, we observe that we do not find a bank even in Spain or Greece, which in theory should face a common front with us.
Immigration is a world-wide emergency, from Bangladesh, from Africa, from the Middle East, to Latin America, masses of desperate people are trying to escape from wars, famines, oppression or, as happened to the Italians of 900 , simply from poverty. Because of its vastness it is a phenomenon that must be regulated with humanity and at the same time firmly to avoid that the weakest are overwhelmed and the worst rewarded.
