The State Police, since the early hours of today on the national territory, is carrying out a precautionary custody order against fifteen people - of which 8 in prison, 4 under house arrest and 3 with the obligation to stay in the municipality of residence - held responsible, for various reasons, for organized activities for the illegal traffic of waste, unauthorized waste management activities as well as fictitious registration of assets.
The investigations, conducted by the agents of the Mobile Squad of the Milan Police Headquarters and coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Milan, started from the huge fire that took place on the night of 14 October 2018 in Milan in Via Chiasserini and allowed to disarticate a criminal association dedicated to the illicit storage and traffic of waste in different regions.
