The Carabinieri of the Valmontone station, at the end of a meticulous investigative activity, carried out an order for the application of a precautionary measure under house arrest, against a 72-year-old, seriously suspected of the crime of attempted extortion.
The provision arises from the complaint of a 52-year-old citizen who, in mid-October, turned to the Carabinieri of Valmontone to report the 72-year-old pensioner, reporting that on several occasions he had gone to his business and had threatened him with death, in front of his family, ordering him to deliver 20.000 euros by Christmas.
From the military's reconstruction it emerged that the complainant, last July, participated in the auction of a property, previously owned by the 72-year-old, whose starting price was around 13.000 euros, which was then sold to the 72-year-old's daughter a price of 41.000 euros. After this award, the pensioner, on several occasions, threatened the victim with death, demanding the sum of 20.000 euros because he considered him responsible for the increase in the auction price, given that he had ordered him, threatening him with death, not to submit bids because the The apartment belonged to his family and he had to take it back.
The man was tracked down at his home and placed under house arrest.
