Tonight the State Police of Latina carried out fifteen precautionary measures against as many people for crimes of criminal association aimed at drug trafficking, several episodes of drug dealing detention, as well as for robbery crimes carried out by some of the subjects believed to belong to a criminal syndicate.
The investigations, which started from the declarations of some justice collaborators, were conducted by the Flying Squad policemen between January and June 2022 with the coordination of the D.D.A. of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome and have brought to light the existence of a family-based criminal organization which, over the last twenty years, has monopolized drug dealing (cocaine, crack and hashish) in the outskirts of Latina, in particular in CD area. The historical reconstruction outlined by the justice collaborators was verified by the investigative activity of the Mobile policemen who, also thanks to the telephone and environmental interceptions carried out and the cameras installed near the drug dealing squares, revealed the existence of a real criminal association at the top of which, over time, a woman has established herself, a prominent element of an ethnic Roma family settled in the Latina area.
Behind the direction of the woman, the retail sales carried out by the other members of the organization, most of whom are linked by kinship, is what has guaranteed the stability of the organization over time.
During the activities and in confirmation of the criminal hypotheses, also the numerous seizures carried out by the Latina Flying Squad against a suitable number of buyers, which provided an ample description of how what could for all intents and purposes be defined as a drug market active 24 hours a day.
Among the links of the drug dealing activity, threats to defaulting buyers also emerged, as well as the availability and use of firearms, also used to commit robberies by two of the main exponents of the association.
A significant circumstantial framework is that outlined by the complex investigative activity carried out, which led to the execution of eleven detention measures in prison, two residence obligations, a residence ban and an obligation to report to the judicial police, carried out between the cities of Latina, Rome and Aprilia.
