Viabilità Italia continues to monitor vehicular traffic on this second Saturday of August.

From the end of the morning the flows have been confirmed intense especially on the most important routes and at the junctions of Bologna, Florence, Rome and on the Adriatic corridor.

At times there are still queues along the southern route of the A1 between Casalpusterlengo and the junction with the A15, between Modena and Bologna between Roncobilaccio and Calenzano and between junction A1 / A24 and Valmontone and between Ferentino and Ceprano; in A14 between Pescara and Vasto. On the A22, heading south, between San Michele and Affi, while heading north between Nogarole Rocca and Trento north.

To facilitate travel, the limitation to the circulation of commercial vehicles with a total mass at full load greater than 7,5t is active, from 08.00 to 22.00, for national transport. For tomorrow, Sunday 9 August, the limitation to traffic for heavy vehicles for national transport will be from 07.00 to 22.00.

Here are the most important news:

  • A1-northbound: queue of about 5 km between Parma and the A1 / A15 junction;
  • A9-northbound: 3 km queue between Como Centro and Chiasso for crossing the Swiss customs;
  • A12-eastbound: 5 km queue between Recco and Chiavari;
  • A12-westbound: tail of 3 km between Recco and Genoa east;
  • A15-southbound: 4 km queue towards the A15 / A12 connection;
  • A27 northbound: 2 km queue between Belluno junction and the A27 / SS 51 Alemagna junction;

Traffic still intense but regular on the network managed by Anas.

Queues for about 6 km on the A2 Autostrada del Mediterraneo, at the exit of Villa S. Giovanni, towards the embarkations for Sicily with waiting times of still 3 hours, also due to the heavy rains that hit the area and that ferry operations slowed down.

There are slowdowns on the SS18 in Scilla.

Slowdowns on the external GRA between Laurentina and Ardeatina.

WEATHER FORECASTS

The meteorological scenario elaborated by the Civil Protection Department provides for today Saturday 8 August sunny weather in the center-north, with some afternoon thunderstorms in the Apennine sectors of Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise. In the south unstable weather with showers and thunderstorms and possible intense phenomena until the afternoon, especially in Calabria and northern Sicily.

On Sunday 9 August, residual rainfall may affect Sicily and Calabria while in the rest of the country the temperatures will be high and the weather will be sunny, with possible afternoon thunderstorms only on the hills.
