In Moscow a subdued parade but don't trust the Russian bear, the last "paw" could be lethal

(by Massimiliano D'Elia) A parade on May 9 in Moscow in a minor tone, few military means, the structures that menacingly paraded before the war are just a memory. A plastic and dramatic demonstration that denotes the damage suffered by the army in Ukraine. To highlight the probable decline of the armed forces (we are only talking about the armored vehicles of the army) the slow and grotesque parade of the T-34 tank dating back to the cold war. It is not understood why. It was not a parade of historic vehicles. A clue that should stimulate Western analysts, given that the Kremlin is very careful to launch precise signals, hidden by propaganda. Why show half the world such an obvious weakness? Inefficiency of communication equipment, or pure strategy? We will see!

Net of the imaginative considerations, often biased, we must not be under any illusions because Moscow's war potential is not reduced to a flicker, on the contrary ... Let us remember that its aerospace power is intact and the most deterrent one, the nuclear one, 6257 ordnance strong, divided into tactical and strategic. Not to mention Iran's seemingly unlimited ability to fire projectiles and launch dangerous killer drones thanks to industrial collaboration and raw materials supplied by third countries such as North Korea, Iran, a conspicuous number of African countries and a small but significant number of Chinese high-tech companies. In these hours, the EU is apparently deciding to impose sanctions on all foreign countries and companies that help Russia in the war effort.

Let's not delude ourselves. The Russian bear could only partially use its strategic military resources, if it really wanted to, to annihilate the adversary. A situation that should induce the powerful of the earth, the USA and China in the lead, to impose an end to the war. Observers argue, however, that fighting will continue until at least the end of 2023 in the hope of weakening Russia and above all of rebuilding the world order which is currently in turmoil due to Chinese ambitions in the Indo-Pacific area. Except that, in doing so we are pushing Russia to embrace the Chinese dragon, penalizing the European economic ambitions which saw in Moscow a thriving market to be incorporated into the community system. Meanwhile the energy dependence on Russia has been partly replaced with expensive American LNG.

"A real war was unleashed against Russia but we defeated terrorism”. So the Russian president Vladimir Putin in his Victory Day speech.

The West provokes bloody conflicts, sows the seeds of "Russophobia" and claims to "dictate its rules to all nations", thundered the Russian president in his speech. Ukraine "has become a hostage in the hands of the West," he added, and "Western elites have forgotten what were" the consequences of Nazi claims to world domination.

"The future of Russian statehood depends on the participants in the special military operation“, emphasized the Russian president according to reports from Tass. Putin called the Kiev regime "criminal" and "the Ukrainian people have become hostages to the coup d'état, to the plans of the West, this is the cause of the current catastrophe in Ukraine".

Russian President Vladimir Putin closed his speech on Red Square by praising "victory". “Nothing is stronger than our unity“, Putin said.

"In memory of the children, fathers, grandparents" and other relatives, he said asking for a minute of silence. Both the crowd and the leaders in Red Square observed silence as a clock ticked with every second that passed.

Civilization "is again at a crucial turning point and a war is again being waged against Russia, but the country will be able to guarantee its security," the Russian president also said, according to TASS reports. “A real war has been unleashed again against the
our motherland, but we have rejected international terrorism and we will also be able to defend the inhabitants of Donbass and ensure our security".
