Aeronautica Militare: urgent flight from Pescara to Pisa for a woman in imminent danger of life

The woman, accompanied by a medical team, was transported with an Air Force Falcon 50 aircraft

In the early afternoon a woman, in imminent danger of life, was rushed from Pescara to Pisa aboard a Falcon 50 of the 31st Wing of the Italian Air Force.

The patient, accompanied by a team of specialized health personnel, was transported on a stretcher from Pescara to Pisa, where an ambulance carried out the transport to the Santa Chiara Hospital in Pisa to allow her to be hospitalized.

The request for urgent medical transport, made by the Prefecture of Pescara following the alarm launched by the 118 Operations Center, was received by the Top Situation Room of the Air Force Command Air Force which has among its functions also that of arranging and manage this type of missions in favor of the citizens.

Air Force crews and transport aircraft are ready day and night, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to ensure, where required and deemed necessary for reasons of urgency, the medical transport of people in imminent danger of life, transport organs or medical teams as on this occasion. Hundreds of flight hours are carried out each year for this type of intervention by the aircraft of the 24st Wing of Ciampino, the 31th Wing of Pratica di Mare and the 14th Air Brigade of Pisa.
