The meeting between the Chief of Police - Director General of Public Security took place today in Zagreb Lamberto GIANNINI and the Chief of the Croatian Police Nikola MILIN. At the heart of the talks was the issue of combating illegal immigration, Croatia's entry into the Schenghen system, the fight against terrorism and organized crime.

During the meeting, the Balkan area was discussed and the need to further strengthen cooperation with countries that have not yet joined the European Union.

During the meeting, the Italian delegation also made up of the Deputy Director General of the Public Security Department Vittorio RIZZI and the Central Director of Immigration and Border Police Claudio GALZERANO, visited the National Coordination Center of the Border Police of the Croatian Police.

Also for 2023 joint patrols have been confirmed in the localities of Rovinj, Split, Island of Pag and Zadar.
