A professor from the Aldo Moro middle school in Cerino Laghetto (MB), who was traveling on a bus to accompany 23 boys on a school trip in the province of Grosseto, this morning, while he was on the A1 motorway, in the direction of Bologna, reported by telephone to 113, that the driver of the vehicle was in altered psychophysical conditions.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the phone call immediately activated, through the Novate Milanese Operations Center, the coordination of all the patrols in service on that route.
Following this, a traffic police patrol of Parma, near the KM 96 of the motorway and in the territory of the municipality of Fontanellato (PR), was able to identify and stop the vehicle object of the alert.
The intervening patrol proceeded to immediately check the documents and above all to ascertain the psychophysical conditions of the driver, a 52-year-old Italian residing in the province of Varese, who was subjected to a test with a breathalyser. The results of the tests carried out showed an alcoholic concentration rate higher than 2 g / l.
Therefore, the violation provided for by art. 186 paragraph 2 letter c) cds, aggravated pursuant to art. 186 bis paragraph 3, which provides for the referral to the Judicial Authority for the application of the penal sanction of arrest up to 1 year and 6 months and a fine of up to 9.000 Euros.
The violation, which results in the revocation of the driving license, constitutes just cause for dismissal.
The boys on a trip therefore waited for the arrival of a bus, made available by a company in the province of Parma, and after having been refreshed thanks to the intervention of personnel from the Concessionaire, which distributed drinks and snacks to them, they were left for their destination around 11.00.
The intervention carried out recalls the importance of the checks that the Traffic Police carry out daily on the entire national territory, in agreement with the Ministry of Education, University and Research for the prevention and repression of phenomena of this kind.
