The Microbiome Task Force meets the Stakeholders ?? Thursday 27 June at 9.30 in the Aula Magna of Biotechnology

On Thursday 27 June, on the occasion of World Microbiome Day, the main companies of international importance in the field of human nutrition, food production, and biotechnology, will take part in a meeting organized by the Task Force on Microbiome of the University of Naples Federico II and which will take place in Naples at the educational biotechnology complex, in via De Amicis 100. The appointment is at the 9.30 in the Aula Magna.

It will be a day of study dedicated entirely to the creation of ever more numerous and profitable synergies with the main Stakeholders. In order to support and direct research in the field of Microbiome and its applications in a profitable way, greater interaction and communication between researchers and industry is required. Representatives of companies of the caliber of Barilla, Danone, Kraft-Heinz, Parmalat, Novamont and Reckitt Benckiser, and others will present their activities and their specific interests for microbiome studies. Researchers will listen to companies and their needs and provide proposals to respond adequately to the most relevant issues in the various fields of interest. In this way, the intention is to increasingly bring the University closer to the world of production, focusing research activities on the Microbiome to solve more practical problems, with the ultimate goal being to improve the state of health of man and the environment exploiting the enormous potential of microbial resources ??

Microbiome studies are becoming increasingly important in the international scientific landscape and the importance of the role of microorganisms for human health and the environment is becoming increasingly clear even to public opinion.

To respond to this growing interest, the University of Naples Federico II has created the Task Force for Microbiome Studies, a scientific network that combines multidisciplinary expertise of more than 150 different departments of 14.
