The concluding concert of the "Leonardo 4 Children" initiative at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, organized by the non-profit foundation "Carano 4 Children" in collaboration with the State Police, will allow to raise funds for art projects and science for children in need in Jordan, Kenya and Ukraine, through UNICEF, Charity May, Action for Children in Conflict and Fondazione Pianoterra.
The "Leonardo 4 Children" charity and cultural initiative - launched in 2019 by the "Carano 4 Children" Foundation with numerous partners, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci and the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration on Rights of Infancy - aims to stimulate children and young people, thanks to competitions on a European scale, in the development of artistic and scientific skills, as well as to help children in need, with pedagogical and educational interventions focused on art and science, thus creating a link of solidarity between young Europeans and non-Europeans.
The initiative received the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic (on the occasion of the awarding event for the winners of the competitions in Brussels at the end of September), the support of UNESCO and the patronage of the European Commission, the European Parliament, the regions of Tuscany. , Lombardia and Val de Loira Centrale, the National Committee for the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the Ambrosiana Library, the Royal Museums of Turin, the Leonardian Museum of Vinci and the Municipality of Vinci. Several events took place in Turin, Florence, Brussels and Milan.
The Rome concert of the State Police musical band, presented by Paola Saluzzi, will offer a rich musical program of classic songs and Christmas carols, enhanced by the music of Maestro Ennio Morricone and the young choirs of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia. At the center of the evening the wonderful fables of Leonardo da Vinci entrusted to the voice of Luisa Ranieri. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, for the Lazio Region and Roma Capitale, and is organized in collaboration with the Musica per Roma Foundation, the Cultura Italiae association, the Meglio della Puglia , and the CS MARE Foundation.
The concert will feature the participation of the Chief of Police, the President of UNICEF Italia, the President of the Musica per Roma Foundation and representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament.
