MiPAAF. The notice for the development of agri-food logistics for businesses has been published

It is available on the MiPAAF website thepublic notice for access to facilities for the development of agri-food logistics, in favor of companies, in line with the directives provided by the decree signed by Minister Stefano Patuanelli on 13 June last, to which they are intended € 500 million under the PNRR measure "Logistic development for the agri-food, fishing and aquaculture, forestry, floriculture and nursery sectors".

The new instrument of “Agri-food logistics contracts” provides for support for investments aimed at strengthening logistics and storage systems, reducing the environmental impact and strengthening the competitiveness of businesses.

Programs for investments in tangible and intangible assets (for example, storage rooms for agricultural raw materials, processing and conservation of raw materials, digitalization of logistics and others), investments in food transport and innovation interventions are eligible for the subsidies. of production processes, precision agriculture and traceability. 

In particular, the investment programs may concern the creation of a new production unit, the expansion of capacity, the conversion or restructuring of an existing production unit, or the acquisition of a production unit. 

The eligibility of the projects is subject to the allocation of a minimum share of the investment, alternatively: 

  • the reduction of environmental impacts and the ecological transition, for at least 32% of the total investment;
  • the digitization of activities, for at least 27% of the total investment.

Companies can participate, individually or associated, also in consortium form, cooperative companies, their consortia operating in the agricultural and agri-food sector, agricultural producer organizations, companies active in the fishing and aquaculture, forestry, floriculture and nursery as well as commercial and / or industrial companies and / or distributors.

An amount equal to at least 40 per cent of the resources is earmarked for the financing of projects to be carried out in the regions of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily. 

The concessions will be granted on the basis of an evaluation procedure and until the available funds are exhausted.

Applications for access to the incentives, complete with the related attachments and required documents, must be submitted through the IT platform www.invitalia.it, on which a detailed information sheet will soon be available and further clarifications and information may be requested. 

The submission of subsidy applications will be possible starting from 12.00 on 12 October and until 17.00 on 10 November 2022.
